Lana del Rey is the stage name for 28 years old American singer Elizabeth Woolridge Grant. Although she was quickly catapulted to fame and success with her debut mainstream album, Born To Die, thanks to her dramatic fusion sound and vintage themes and imagery, del Rey has been in the musical scene for a much longer time, having recorded music as May Jailer and Lizzy Grant, among other stage names.
Due to how dramatic and visual her sound is, del Rey also outs a lot of effort both into her music videos, which are often elaborate short movies, and her stage and public image. The controversial singer has, in fact, famously gone as far as addressing the subject directly in an interview, vehemently denying that she has gone under the knife to enhance her looks, saying “I haven’t had anything done at all.” And even adding, quite dramatically that when she lived at the trailer she ‘didn’t even have money to buy Cocoa Puffs’ and joking that she didn’t ‘crawl from under the bridge to get surgery’.
Still, both the public and the gossip and celebrity obsessed media seem to doubt she is ‘just quite pouty’ when she sings, and her flippant attitude only seems to fuel Lana del Rey plastic surgery speculation.
