Plastic surgery is a two sided blade and depending on the expertise of the surgeon who performs your procedure as well as luck one may come out of it looking younger and more refined or look unnatural and unrecognizable. Unfortunately, Kenny Rogers plastic surgery left him on the latter side of the blade after an eyelid lift that was botched and which he himself admitted drove him crazy and he was not happy about it. He had his first plastic surgery in 1990 but with his long time friend and colleague, Dolly Parton who is a big fan of plastic surgery, being his inspiration has had more work done.

The 74 year old singer/ songwriter has had a facelift, an eyelift and Botox injections which make him look much younger but not as masculine and scruffy as he did back in the 70s. This is explained by Dr. Tony Youn saying that Kenny’s surgeon took off excessive eyelid skin tightening the covers. With time, the skin will loosen up fixing the problem to an extent like in Kenny Rogers’s case but for some the eyelids have to be extended using a skin graft. Kenny was lucky not to have to go through that as the outcome might have made a mess of an already bad situation.
Rogers however admits he is happy with the results in general especially now that his surgery looks much better. His marriage to Wanda Miller in 1997, who was twenty years his junior had a lot to do with his reasons for getting plastic surgery to try and lessen the evidence of the age difference and look closer to her in age. Losing the warmth of his eyes after the surgeries is something he regrets saying he misses out on that each time he looks at old photos of himself. The initial embarrassment of how his eyes looked and the results of his surgery have begun to wane although in the 1990s when tabloids got on the story it was a painful experience. He has grown into it and accepted and is now more comfortable with his skin.
The various Kenny Rogers plastic surgery procedures prove that it is not just women who are interested in remaining eternally youthful and are willing to go under the knife for it. Although it started out on a low his looks do now look better and he can smile pretty as the surgery has achieved its objective making him look more youthful. It does however hold a cautionary tale for men thinking of going down the same route to ensure that their doctors do not overdo it and take away features of their masculinity in the process unless they want to. Kenny Rogers has weathered a few storms one of which is his surgery but this does not take away from the fact that he is a talented musician and with ay luck in a few more years his youthful appearance will look natural enough not to give away the secret of having gone under the knife to achieve it.
