Lil’ Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Denise Jones is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, actress, record producer and author. She started freestyle rap during her teens and was influenced heavily by singer/actress Diana Jones and hip hop artists such as The Lady of Rage and MC Lyte. She has starred in many films including Zoolander, She’s All That, Gangstresses, Lil Pimp and You Got Served among others.
Recently, there have been claims of Lil Kim plastic surgery especially after she performed at the Hot 97 Summer Jams concert on June 2, 2013 where some attendees stated that she was unrecognizable especially because of her lighter complexion. Some people believe that Lil Kim had had Botox injections, a nose job and a skin lightening procedure, which can be performed by using a combination of skin lightening creams and chemical peel.
The singer’s face also appears contoured and it has a waxy sheen. However, C.J. carter who is Lil Kim’s rep denied the claims of plastic surgery saying that she has not had any work done on her. The singer’s rep said that the rumors were despicable, malicious and fictitious. However, Kim’s appearance at the Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert was very different from how she looked when she made her debut back in the 1990s.
Rumor has it that Kim underwent plastic surgery in March 2012. Her recent photos show her having a fuller face , a lighter complexion and a distinctive new nose. According to Dr. Boris Ackerman, who is a Board certified plastic surgeon practicing in Newport Beach California; the singer’s face appears altered significantly for the worse.
He stated that “it appears that her nose has been operated on to make her nostrils appear narrower. Her facial features such as the cheeks and jaw line look completely different.” Dr. Ackerman further stated that it is likely that Lil Kim had semi permanent filler placed in these areas. Lil Kim’s upper eyelids also appear to have been worked on.
In all indications, the Lil Kim plastic surgery procedure appears to have gone wrong because it has transformed her look completely but not for the better. She was more attractive in the past than she is now. Some critics have stated that she now looks half Asian. Many people have criticized her new look including Wendy Williams, who is a talk show host. Williams compared Kim’s photo to La Tonya Jackson and asked her to place the blame on the plastic surgeon who performed the procedure instead of Photoshop.
